Very good setup block set for the money. 2/3 the cost of other almost identical setup block sets. So don't expect perfection. One setup block is not machined flat but should still function ok (see Picture). Will recommend.

For years I have just used a tape measure when doing woodworking projects, but I kept noticing inconsistencies with my shop tools. The problem is that I would not always use the same tape measure when setting my router bit height, table saw blade height, or drill press drilling depth. Unfortunately, not all tape measures are created equally. However, with these blocks I am now able to easily get repeatable and accurate measurements on all of my woodworking machinery.
The quality of the machining is excellent and the measurements are accurate when measured against my caliper. Even more granular measurements can be obtained by stacking two or more blocks together.

The one thing that I really do not like is the plastic tabs that close the case. One of them fell off literally the first time that I opened the case. In my application, this will be used in a shop and will likely be hanging on a pegboard, or in a special drawer, all together and laid out, so I don’t really need the box. The tab did also pop back and continue to keep the case closed afterwards as shown in the image. The box is just not the most rugged of designs, but what's in the box is solid and worthy of five stars.

This may not be the most refined set-up block set I've ever seen or had but just might be the most accurate, extensive and full featured. For me at first glance these didn't seem as finished or refined as some I've seen. More square edged and blocky than the chamfered or rounded over edges of some popular brands. Now with that out of the way and this tool in hand.. these are dead on accurate and are more capable than any others I've seen and have. See my pictures for caliper measurements of the 1/4", 1/2" and 3/4". For starters there's more of them (14 to be exact).. several more fractional sizes then you usually get. So a more complete set which makes them more help in practice. There's a 23/32nd which 3/4 plywood usually is.. but I've never seen set-up blocks with this size. Next there's more function to these in that most sets only have the given measurements in the bottom offset and then one end has a tail that's the given length and height. Each of these are also the thickness of given measurements. So instead of all being 1/4" thick the 3/4" is actually 3/4" thick which makes the tales squared in that measurement... Such as 3/4" x 3/4". Lastly, and I've seem some have this before, they all have a different degree of angle measurement on one end. Such as the 3/4" has the end at 45 degree and could set a table blade angle. My older set only had 7 PCs 1/8 through 1/2" on 16th inch increments where this set doubles it with full thickness and angles on one end. So I'm looking forward to the added benefits as I use them all the time. Nice Set 5-Stars **Edited -- To add a quick tip -- The last 6 or 7 smallest blocks on the far right side of the case.. these are short enough they sit below the surface of the foam and it makes them extremely difficult to get out. If you'll cut some 1/8 inch dowel rod the length of the slots (or anything around that size) and push them to the bottom of the slots as you put those bars back in it'll keep those setting above the surface making them much, much easier to take in and out. The last and smallest one on the right (1/16 I think) won't need one as it'll be much tighter with the others in place.. just friction fit it in. (Added a picture showing this) Worked great for me and is quick and easy to do, just thought I would share the idea.

The setup blocks are hard to remove from the internal packaging (I resorted to use needle nose pliers to remove them) but otherwise they met my expectations.

Very good value or the money. I use these all the time to set up my router and table saw. They can be a bit finicky to get out of the box, especially the really small sizes. The box is cheap but functional and protects them well. Of course I'd prefer a custom cut pelican case, but for the money I'm not complaining.

Nice set, I agree with others that setup blocks are so much easier, faster and more accurate than using a ruler or tape measure. Checked one or two with a caliper, they were accurate. If you're using them for woodworking, and worried about 1 or 2 thousandths of an inch, your woodworking is way more precise than mine. I like the storage box, but agree with others that the foam is tighter than it needs to be, making them somewhat difficult to get out - especially the little skinny ones. But they're solid, accurate, and have multiple measure points on each block, making them more useful than some other designs.

Finally broke down and bought a set, I've been putting it off for the longest time... i didn't really see the value... but these are TIME savers, makes measuring fast and easy, high quality material, easy to read with white on red. should have bought these years ago!

Awesome setup blocks. Very well made, they make table saw and router setup easier and more accurate.
