This is an excellent whiskey smoker that emits quite a lot of smoke! This is my 4th whiskey smoker (5th if you count my smoking gun, which I still have to smoke food from my culinary school days), and it is one of favorites because it's super smoky. The only downside is that it doesn't include hickory. Also, unlike with a manually lit smoking gun where you only need a couple of pinches of wood chips to see a lot of smoke, most electric whiskey smokers (this one included) require a lot more wood chips than realistically necessary in order for the chips to make contact with the build-in lighter and ignite properly. This is a major design flaw of most of the electric whiskey smokers with built-in lighters that are on the market now, so you'll likely go through more wood chips than you need to. However, the ease of operating this because it's designed to easily fit over most glasses is the trade-off here. The auto-changing lights are a bit cheesy, but it makes it easier to see how smoky the glass becomes, so that's the plus. I still haven't figured out how to get the lights to stick to 1 color (as opposed to auto-changing), but that's not a big deal. Overall, this is one of the best whiskey smokers I've used.
