Great little attachment! Needed it to drill holes in some tight spaces and it worked perfectly, will hold onto this for sure.

Mounting a cable suspension system for a bay window meant drilling screw holes and starting 4ea. #14 screws in a very tight space beneath eaves. I can't think of another tool that could have done the job. Using my 20-year-old Makita cordless drill I was able to snake the bit of the flexshaft snug against the plate and high under the overhang to securely drill and mount a marine-grade pad-eye that would take most of the load. Some reviewers have noted that this tool is not for high-torque applications, and I would agree. But it's great for drilling at fairly low speeds and starting wood screws. (A swivel head socket wrench with a hex bit can do the tightening.) You may need some short hex-head drill bits to start a hole in very tight spaces. Be sure to securely lock hex-head drill bits into the chuck by pulling down on the spring-loaded collar before you start drilling or you may end up with a detached bit firmly stuck in the wood.

If you plan drilling holes larger than half an inch thru hard wood or metal you will be disappointed. However, I'm giving this 5 stars because it does fit into small spaces very well, delivers a decent amount of power (depending on drill used) and is well built for that purpose. I like the magnetic collar, it holds screws well and as long as you use the quick eject bits they are very easy to take out by pulling back on the collar. Other hex bits work to but don't pop out. You have grab them with a pliers. Drills under half an inch work as long as they have the quick release hex shank. I personally use for installing electrical devices in tight corners.

So happy with this tool! I used it to drill a center hole into a broken exhaust stud. Very little crevice between the engine head and wheel well housing. I was able to curve the snake and the left handed drill down into the crevice and then diagonally upward into the drill jig I bolted onto the head. I was able to easily hold my drill motor above the crevice and pointed straight down into the hole.

Worked great in a pinch. It's rugged and works fine. The little handle is a surprising plus.

I needed to add drawers inside a cabinet that was too small for my drill/driver to fit. So, I needed a right angle attachment to drill pilot holes for the screws and then drive the screws for the drawer slides. This turned out to be just exactly right for the job, once I figured out how it works. After I received it, the chuck was very stiff, and I ended up pulling it apart several times trying to figure out how to get my hex shank drill bits to go in and out again. After struggling with that for a while, I finally realized it just needed lubrication, so WD-40 to the rescue. Voila! Works like a charm. The side mount handle is great, as I can move it from one side to the other, depending on how I am using it. With a bit of lubrication, this item will last a long, long time. Great quality, fast shipping, very dependable. Highly recommended.
